Ultra Touch Safety Ratings
UltraTouch adds mass and density to the wall system, acting as a barrier to flame spread.

FIRE RATING consists of THREE independent ratings. These ratings are governed by the American Society for Testing Methods (ASTM) E-84, E-19, and C-739. Borates act as the fire retardant in UltraTouch, and is an EPA registered, non-toxic, natural biostat that acts as an excellent fire suppression ingredient.

FIRE RESISTANCE: An hourly rating related to the ability of a building assembly to prevent ignition or contain a fire.

FLAME SPREAD & SMOKE-DEVELOPED: Describes surface burning characteristics (indexed for calibration) in comparison to Red Oak Flooring and Inorganic Reinforced Cement Board.

FIRE CLASS: Based on flame spread, Class is assigned. Class A or Class 1 is the best rating possible.
