	Manufacturing and Installation UltraTouch natural cotton fiber insulation is manufactured in Chandler, Arizona by Bonded Logic using a patented process that reclaims denim fabric. Manufacturing Process Remnants from denim jean manufacturers are shipped to the US where the material is shredded and bundled for transport to the Chandler, AZ plant. True to their commitment to the environment and sustainability, Bonded Logic's 112,000 sq. ft. facility is a LEED (Leadership in Energy Efficiency Design) Silver Building certified in accordance with the USGBC (US Green Building Council) criteria. The facility uses reclaimed water and low energy requirements for manufacturing. When the bundles arrive, a patented process treats each fiber with Borate. Then the wet materials are blended and extruded into a blanket at the density and thickness prescribed by the R-Value. Each blanket is then flash dried in ovens at a consistent temperature. Conveyors carry the material through blade cutting equipment where they are cut to size and placed into color coded bags. The bags are then vacuum packed for efficient shipping. Installation UltraTouch is both easy and safe to install. And because it is environmentally sound, it can be removed and disposed of just as easily. No protective clothing is needed. After measuring, UltraTouch can be scored with a utility knife against a straight edge. Or you can use a beveled (toothless) saw blade in a utility saw. We have found that a small hand held grinder with a toothless blade also works well. See cutting instructions. Proper sealing of wall and stud penetrations are key to good thermal function.
