Tip of the Ice Berg 12/19/2007 Trey's concept and creation of Building Credibility.com has top industry professionals contributing, provides a dynamic tool for the world community's use and maybe the kinetic energy to make a difference. Think Globally, Act Locally. First let me voice publicly that Trey Langford, creator of this site, is a genius. The summary is humble, as I have never seen a site as robust as this. A new tool has recently been added. As a result, this week, a reader of this blog wrote in and asked: "Can you locate me new green homes for sale in theBoise area with no more than 1600 sq. feet. no stairs." There are about ten directions I could go with this question, but I'm seeking ideas other than my own. As Trey has said, "What if people were able to shop for homes by builder's?" I say, " What if people were able to shop for homes by designations and amenities?" Energy Star? LEED Certified? NAHB Green? Blue Jean Insulation? Granite Counter Tops or PaperStone? Kinetic energy, or potential energy, this ice berg isn't melting, what do you think? Should differentiation be made for homes and buildings that are energy efficient or green? Seems like a silly question, but makes sense in this market place. |
